Using AI to Enhance and Expedite Teaching FLC (2024-25)

AI has the potential to enhance pedagogy, streamline administrative tasks, and create engaging learning environments. Participants in this FLC, which met during AY 2024-25, explored the possibilities for harnessing AI-driven tools to supercharge their teaching through collaborative inquiry and hands-on experimentation. They explored practical strategies for using AI-driven tools – including those integrated in Blackboard Ultra – in course design, assessment, and feedback mechanisms. They collaboratively experimented with AI-powered platforms and each chose one or more tools and practices to try out in their own teaching/course prep. They came away with a better understanding of the range of tools, how they work, and which tools and practices they like best to support their own creative and productive goals.
