As AI technologies continue to become ubiquitous across industries and fields, shaping the future of work and society, educators need to ensure that students are prepared to navigate and leverage these technologies effectively in their future careers. Students in every field of study need to develop general AI literacies as well as discipline-specific practices around engaging with AI. Participants in this FLC, which met during AY 2024-25, delved into applications of AI within their own disciplines and across disciplines and aimed to investigate how AI is being used in the workplaces that graduates will enter. They also considered ethical implications that accompany the integration of AI into higher education and society at large. Building on this knowledge, they examined and designed pedagogical approaches for integrating AI literacies into their own courses. They each developed new teaching activities and assignments for their courses that fostered students’ critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ethical awareness, and helped prepare them to meet workforce needs for using and creating with AI.
